We're seeking a passionate and experienced Rapid Rehousing Supervisor to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of those in need of stable housing. Anthos|Home's Rapid Rehousing Program supports homeless youth ages 18-25, providing short-term rental assistance, a range of supportive services, and leveraging Anthos|Homes's network of partner landlords to secure permanent housing.
The Role:
Anthos|Home is seeking an experienced social worker to serve in the new role of Rapid Rehousing Supervisor. The Rapid Rehousing (RRH) Supervisor will work in a team reporting to the Director of Special Programs. In this role, the RRH Supervisor will be responsible for working with young adults who are homeless (Participants) throughout their program enrollment to ensure housing stability before, during, and after placement into permanent housing. The RRH Supervisor will conduct needs assessments for all Participants, working with the household to address goals related to education, employment, health, and mental health.
The RRH Supervisor is the primary point of contact for Participants from referral through housing and aftercare and should also work closely with the Participant's support network including the RRH Tenant Coordination Specialist, the RRH Youth Support Associate, and the property provider, as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise the RRH Tenant Coordination Specialist and RRH Youth Support Associate
- Assess immediate needs of Participants and makes appropriate referrals to prepare to be rapidly rehoused and to support stabilization in permanent housing
- Identify Participant strengths and barriers to stability and assist Participants to reduce barriers and link to resources and services
- Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling as needed
- Provide aftercare, case management, and advocacy services to Participants
- Provide proactive follow-up home visits to ensure stability and further progress towards self-sufficiency; this includes support, advocacy, reducing isolation, listening, problem-solving, and identification of resources
- Contact Participants biweekly by phone, in addition to quarterly in-person in-unit contact once Participant is housed to ensure general overall safety and wellness of the Participant
- Provide referrals to community resources, as needed, for issues related to mental health, wellness, legal, and other areas of support
- Attend meetings and case conferencing as needed to ensure collaborative supports are being provided to the Participants to ensure stability
- Respond to emergencies during normal business and after hours, participating in the on-call roster for all of Anthos|Home Participants and Property Providers
- Maintain thorough and accurate progress notes and correspondence while maintaining the confidentiality of participants, staff, and organizational information at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate for the Rapid Rehousing Supervisor is someone who enjoys working with youth and people of all backgrounds. A master's degree in Social Work or applicable field is required, and NYS license preferred.
Additional Skills include:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the NYC housing market and voucher system
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Experience working with youth and young adults a plus
- Willingness to travel and make regular visits in the community
- Ability to use public transportation or meet the same travel requirements with reasonable accommodation
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary: $80,000-$85,000 (dependent on experience)
- Hybrid work environment (3-5 days in office/field per week)
