S 3 , Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager (Site Lead) at Aberdeen, MD.
Military experience is a plus. This is not a teleworking position.
Job Description:
Provides contractor management as the site lead at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds location. On-site operations managers will report to the contractor PM and will serve as local points of contact.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical and project management for assigned projects or major phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of assigned technical staff.
- Organizes projects and task workloads within budget as well as schedule guidelines.
- Provides management of the activities and staff of the project.
- Meets all requirements and furnishing all deliverables as outlined by the Task Order or Sr. Program Manager.
- Provides management and coordination of the contractor's effort in support of the customer and ensures the accomplishment of all contract requirements.
- Reports to the contractor's Program Manager and submits information necessary for monthly reports, trip reports, and other reporting actions as applicable.
- Monitors all schedules associated with implementing tasks within the scope of the contract and make any necessary changes to maintain the task on schedule.
- Provides management of all contractor travel, flight requests, working hours (including overtime), and other actions associated with this task, and coordinating these actions with the contractor's Program Manager and/or the Government Lead.
- Responsible for the technical direction, leadership, supervision, training, mentoring, and performance of onsite staff, and will supervise at least one Team Lead.
- Conducts Progressive Engagement.
- Other duties are assigned as necessary.
Education:
10 years' experience with a Master's Degree or 15 years' experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
Qualifications:
- Secret or higher DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- 10 years' experience providing day-to-day management of contractor activities to include monitoring and supervising both prime contractor employees and subcontractor performance.
- 10 years or more of experience with contract management functions in DoD.
- 10 years or more of experience with contract management functions in DoD.
- 10 years or more of experience managing personnel of various disciplines and experience.
- 5 years' experience or more organizing projects and task workloads within budget and schedule guidelines.
- 5 years' experience providing technical and/or project management of assigned projects or major phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of assigned technical staff.
- 5 years' experience or more monitoring all schedules associated with implementing tasks within scope of the contract and making any necessary changes to maintain the task on schedule.
