REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. This individual will have a strong background in real estate law and related transactions. Experience with estate planning and tax is a plus.
Compensation Package:
Salary: $90,000-$100,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, review, and/or record legal documents such as deeds, mortgages, easements, and other real estate-related agreements.
- Prepare, edit, and/or review documents related to real estate transactions such as purchase agreements, management agreements, leases, rules and regulations, and closing documents.
- Proficient in corporate administrative matters including entity formation, EIN procurement, drafting minutes, operating agreements, etc.
- Organize and review for completeness estate and property ownership files.
- Track, manage, and respond to lawsuits, claims and other various legal actions, coordinating with outside legal counsel as needed.
- Review property title reports, surveys, exception, zoning, etc.
- Examine and summarize title commitments, exceptions, and surveys, and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain fictitious business names in good standing with all appropriate government agencies.
- Manage all appropriate business licenses and permits and ensure timely payments.
- Prepare and/or review written correspondence with tenants, as needed.
- Evaluate, monitor, and maintain appropriate levels of insurance across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties.
- Perform legal research related to real estate law, regulations, and case precedents, as needed.
- Maintain a highly organized and effective calendar of due dates and deadlines.
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical files.
- Consult with outside legal counsel to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and supporting a broad range of transactions and projects.
- Assists with special projects and other duties as required.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field. Paralegal certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a real estate paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of real estate law, transaction processes, and related legal documentation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal document management systems.
- Required to stand, bend, stoop, or be in a stationary position for the duration of the work shift
- Required to lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing 25-50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
- Valid driver’s license along with a good driving record
