About the Job
We are working with a well-known and growing real estate developer in CT seeking a Real Estate Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reporting and analysis for multiple residential properties.
- Maintain monthly work papers.
- Prepare work papers and analyses required for the annual audit process.
- Prepare work papers and analyses required for income tax and sales tax filings.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Interact with the operations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable groups as required.
- Record monthly journal entries.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience required, 1+ years' experience in real estate accounting preferred.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines is a must.
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience with real estate accounting software
