Real Estate Underwriter II - Collins Community Credit Union

Collins Community Credit Union, a growing financial services institution, is now taking applications for a Real Estate Underwriter II! This position is responsible for reviewing and approving or rejecting portfolio real estate applications, including valuations and withdrawn/denied files, and assist the Consumer Underwriters as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.

• Achieves goals as established in the Real Estate Department annual operating plan.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of CCCU loan and product policies and guidelines.
• Examines situations and recommends workable solutions that create a win-win for the Member and CCCU.
• Assesses portfolio and GSE real estate loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance within department timelines.
• Reviews credit reports to determine credit patterns, current liabilities, outstanding judgments, and collections.
• Analyzes income from all sources, including employed, self-employed, and other sources.
• Evaluates real estate valuations.
• Verifies loan ratios.
• Approves Real Estate loans up to established limits and makes recommendations for loan approval above established limits.
• Completes adverse action file submissions.
• Answers underwriting related questions regarding the Credit Union’s current portfolio and GSE real estate loan programs and Policies for internal members.
• Cross-trains and assists Consumer Underwriters with consumer loan file reviews as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• College degree or minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with tact.
• Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines.

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
