What You'll Do
- Unload trailers and store material in storage bins using overhead cranes
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths
- Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape
- Operate automatic equipment that cuts and bends reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping using overhead cranes
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner
- Maintain a safe working environment and exhibit a positive safety attitude
- Assist other employees in any of the above tasks as needed
What You'll Need
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when needed
- Ability to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
