Rebar Worker
WorkSkill is looking for people that can position, shape/bend and secure/tie steel bar in order to reinforce concrete. This position will require the use of a variety of fasteners, rod-bending and cutting tools, and various “industry standard” hand tools. Typical size of steel bar will be #3 (3/8”) bar.
Below is a list of day-to-day tasks to be expected with this position:

This position will require the use of a variety of fasteners, rod-bending and cutting tools, and various “industry standard” hand tools. Typical size of steel bar will be #3 (3/8”) bar.
Below is a list of day-to-day tasks to be expected with this position:
- Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, scaled models, and/or oral instructions.
- Position, space and fasten together rods in forms according to blueprint and specifications, using wire and pliers hand tools.
- Bend steel rods to the required shape and profile with hand tools.
- Cut rods to required lengths with hand tools.
- Responsible for adhering to all Company safety programs, policies and procedures as well as all Federal, State and local safety codes and regulations.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
