About the Job
Leads receiving area to make sure all raw materials are brought in safely and accounted for properly in the system. Also responsible for putting away raw materials and performing cycle counts as requested by management.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Unload production materials by fork lift and put away physically and systematically safely in proper location.
- Verify all incoming paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Sign, date, file paperwork as instructed.
- Work with customer service and operations to verify return product disposition, and proper resolution and system transactions.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Brings materials to and from production lines as requested by management.
- Works with quality department to make sure incoming inspections and defective material are handled properly.
- Perform cycle counts daily throughout production facility.
- Help with re-working returned product as needed.
Secondary:
Follows all fork lift safety procedures and makes sure all materials are stacked properly throughout the warehouse.
Position Qualifications
- Receives inbound freight, raw material and finished goods. Transports goods to appropriate designated location(s).
- Removes, records, and/or weighs scrap from production, finished goods, or other facility areas and dumped into appropriate bins.
- Weighs freight, materials, or products and records weight on tags, labels, production schedules and enters into MRP system when required.
- Complete and turn in all daily required paperwork.
- Follows safety requirements for the facility, warehouse and specific position including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); follows environmental and hazardous waste disposal procedures
- Participates in process improvements, housekeeping and within assigned area and/or within the facility as required or allowed by management
Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)
Years of Experience: 2-3 years Area: Forklift Experience
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
