About the Job
The Inventory & Receiving Clerk will perform inventory control duties for the Elkins Manufacturing Plant. Responsible for performing tasks of purchasing and inventory control of materials for the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains and organizes the stock levels of all inventory received and on hand
- Assist with receiving materials arriving to the facility
- Utilizing forklift in accordance with training and safety procedures
- Comparing pack lists of materials arriving to the details of the purchase order
- Maintains knowledge of all materials and supplies to assist in daily production supply needs
- Develop and implement daily bucket material preparation process
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Follows all policies and procedures in accordance with the Greenfield Hourly Employee Handbook.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from management.
- Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors and co-workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and manufacturing (preferred).
- Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Inventory experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of wood products and materials (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
