Position summary:
Receives incoming parts, materials, and finished products; inspects items; checks items against packing lists; makes counts; and maintains records.
Essential Functions:

Receives incoming material and determines if documentation and level of certification is complete

Verifies that part number and quantity of parts shipped agree with the open purchase order
-
Places shipments with incomplete documentation or incorrect quantities and/or part numbers on hold, and notifies responsible buyer. Includes follow-up to resolution.

Prepares QUEST shipments for receipt in the Stockroom, by performing the following activities:

Data entry transactions in Purchasing and Quality modules;

Transfer of complete documentation to Quality;
-
Stamping of stock tags and receiving tags, as inspector-designee.

Re-packaging of parts, as required, to insure accountability of the lot within the Stockroom.

Supervises daily cycle count activity, to include the following:

Maintains a log of assemblies cycle-counted;

Assigns work orders to be cycle counted each day;
-
Distributes Cycle Count Report (INV710) each day to all planners
-
Impacted by cycle count changes;
-
Monitors correct completion of cycle counting performed by Stock Clerks, including accuracy of count and data entry transactions.

Administer Shelf Life Program, tracking expiration dates of sensitive parts, on a monthly basis.

Provides temporary support to Stockroom and Shipping department activities as needed.

Performs all other duties as assigned
Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
Familiarity with Receiving and Stockroom procedures. Good verbal communication skills. Superior organization skills. Detail oriented.
Education and Experience:
Two years previous receiving experience in a manufacturing environment. Forklift Certification Preferred.
Physical demands and work environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is moderate to high. The individual will be working in the factory floor which is in the same building as the office and may be exposed to machine noise, fumes, and dust.
