Ellis Early Learning (formerly known as Ellis Memorial) is a vibrant, Boston-based nonprofit with a rich history founded in 1885. Ellis provides high-quality early education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. POSITION OVERVIEW

Warmly, friendly and organized administrative assistant wanted for a busy early childhood education center. Must be a personable professional with strong communication skills, able to work well in busy settings with an upbeat attitude. A mission-driver professional who loves young children and can multi-task in a dynamic environment would be a great fit. This is a full time 40 hours weekly/80 hours bi-weekly) on site position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly greeting and welcoming all families and guests
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Answering phones, transferring calls, relaying messages
• Responding to emails
• Logging volunteers and checking IDs at pick up when necessary
• Providing administrative and clerical support, particularly with regard to the Ellis meal program and attendance tracking
• Maintaining an organized reception space
• Providing classroom coverage in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms when needed

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
