Position: Receptionist
Hours & Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate Range: $20/hr. - $22/hr.
Overview: We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to serve as the central point of contact for our staff, vendors, and most importantly, our clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, possess strong organizational abilities, and exhibit a keen attention to detail. This role involves undertaking administrative and clerical functions, providing general support across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, managing the front desk and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Handle and prioritize a variety of advanced administrative duties, using independent judgment and initiative.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
- Manage appointments and conference room schedules.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to various departments as needed.
- Assist with the coordination and organization of company events and meetings.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail in administrative tasks.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to represent the company in a polished and courteous manner.
- Familiarity with office equipment, including phones, copiers, and printers.
- Ability to handle and prioritize many types of advanced administrative duties and use independent judgment and initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year or more of receptionist experience.
- Proficient computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and various departments.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Knowledge of and adherence to professional etiquette.
- Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and assist in different areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to daily responsibilities.
