Hours Vary: Monday - Sunday 8am -8pm

6hr and 12hr shifts

PRN rate: $18.50 per hour 

We currently have an opening for a prn (as needed) Receptionist at our Rehabilitation Hospital in Lakeway. Our hospital is located in Lakeway Texas in the scenic hill country on the southern shores of Lake Travis. Lakeway is a resort community about 25 miles west of downtown Austin. The city offers an outdoor lifestyle with a 65 mile long lake, golf courses, tennis courts, marinas, a private airport, 100 acres of parkland hiking and biking trails, and nearly 500 acres of greenbelts.

The Receptionist Under the direction of the Hospital CEO, this position exists to screen all incoming visitors and directing them to the appropriate location, providing excellent customer service and helping maintain the security of the facility. Duties include assisting with requests made by visitors and staff.

Employees in this position will:

1. Responsible for screening visitors to the appropriate location and assisting in the access to the building. Ensures/informs all visitors to sign in and wear a visitor’s pass when entering the building.
2. May be responsible for coverage for other staff during breaks and various times when needed. Connects/transfers calls to the appropriate party and performs overhead paging when necessary.
3. Notifies the admissions coordinator when a customer requests a tour of the facility.
4. Is responsible for assisting patients with requests for wheelchairs by contacting appropriate department.
5. Is responsible for reporting to facilities’ leadership any unusual behavior in the lobby/parking area.
6. Notifies nursing when gifts for patients arrive in order for the gifts to be delivered to patients timely.
7. Postmarks all outgoing mail and may be responsible for distributing incoming mail.
8. Periodically patrol the parking lot in front of the building.
9. Lock and unlock the front door to appropriate visitors after hours.
10. Perform other duties as requested.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (including licensure, certification and other job-related credentials)

1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Six months or more receptionist experience preferred.
