Job Summary: Primary responsibility is to facilitate the communications functions of the business office and provide clerical support.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the communication system which may include: mail distribution, pagers, phone system, memos, answer incoming calls, and disseminates appropriate messages
- Provides clerical support which may include preparation of admission, orientation and new hire packets; monitoring and ordering office supplies and forms, typing, special projects, filing and copying
- Competently handle multi-line phone system. Demonstrates understanding of system features.
- Assists with maintenance of personnel files
- Promotes the agency philosophy and mission by presenting a positive image to patients /families, physicians and community agencies. Uses effective customer service skills when directing calls and assisting others.
- Provides computer support and data entry
- Provide effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other health care professionals and maintains confidentiality
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school graduate (college preferred)
- 1 year general office experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint Proficient
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation to work
- Bilingual: English/ Spanish a MUST
