Receptionist - HOK

We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you play a key role with our clients and internal team members and will be responsible for receiving and directing telephone calls, greeting guests, and maintaining the reception area. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours Monday-Friday in our downtown St. Louis office.

• Receive and accurately direct incoming phone calls with energy and professionalism.
• Greet and direct clients and other visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
• Maintain the appearance and atmosphere of the lobby in a neat, professional and attractive manner at all times.
• Assist staff with parking issues.
• Direct couriers and deliveries.
• Help to maintain continuing education credits as required.
• Provide administrative support as directedwhich includes assisting w/expense reports and HR tasks.
• Scheduling of conference rooms and office meetings.
• Coordinate food service for meetings.
• Assist office manager w/building management issues.
• Support interior design team in scheduling lunch presentations and coordinating rep visits.
• Learn and assist with meeting room technology.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.

• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Welcoming, friendly, professional, reliable, dependable and prompt.
• Expert multi-tasker and prioritizer with the ability to juggle multiple calls and guests at one time and make each feel their needs are being well handled.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Organized; maintains neat and tidy work area.
• Experience in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in switchboard/reception work.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous switchboard/reception and clerical/related office experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture or professional services firm a plus.
