Omni Pain and Precision Medicine is looking for friendly, team-oriented individuals to become part of our front office/patient registration team for our office in Utica, New York. As a Front Desk Medical Receptionist, qualified candidates will be responsible for the courteous and prompt processing of patients at the waiting area, for scheduling procedures, and for answering all incoming telephone calls and directing the calls to the appropriate personnel. The Receptionist will be cross-trained in other administrative areas of the practice and may assist with Medical Records, Insurance Verification and Authorizations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet patients and visitors courteously
• Receive and register patients, schedule/reschedule patient procedures
• Verify patient insurance
• Accept and receive payments from patients
• Comply with HIPAA
• General office duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Comprehension of medical terminology.
• Prior receptionist experience in an acute-care hospital or doctor's office preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Windows and Web-Based applications.
• Ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to multi-task.
