Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour This range is a goodfaith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
What you'll be doing as a Recipe Cook:
* Operates and cleans equipment after each use
* Understands time management and has a sense of priority
* Attends functions for plate-up, carving, serving, saute station, running food, ets
* Responsible for execution of the meal and understanding the timing of food production and to have all components of presentation during catering events
* Position involves evenings and weekends based on scheduled events
* Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and recipes
* Rotate preparing hot and cold foods
* May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Executive Chef
* Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes and according to Catering Orders
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening)
Job requirements:
* 4 years experience as a Catering, Banquet or Cook in Fine Dining
* Requires an extensive knowledge of basic cooking techniques grilling, sauté, griddle, fryer, baking, broiling
* Requires an extensive knowledge of display plating, Fruit, Cheese, Crudite, Antipasto and Charcutiere platters
* Candidate must be able to communicate in English, read and follow recipes 2nd language a plus
* 4 – 7 year's culinary experience in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant kitchen preferred/must
* Requires the ability to work organized and within a team environment
* Extremely good knife skills
* Must work varied shifts
* Must be able to safely operate all kitchen equipment
* Must be able to handle large volumes of boxed lunches, platters of sandwiches
* Must be able to build salads
* Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills
