This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide expertise claims support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers and government entities.
- Analyze and identify trends and provides reports as necessary
- Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in claims recovery and resolution
- 1+ years of experience in subrogation or recovery unit (processing claims and receiving posting payments, or COB (coordinator of benefits)
- Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work full-time between 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical insurance experience
- Experience with insurance billing in a provider or hospital setting
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

- Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 - $31.44 per hour.
