Description
Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and making a positive impact on your community? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recreation Center Specialist at the Estero Recreation Center and other assigned facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
+ Customer Service and Administration: Assist citizens with inquiries, schedule reservations, maintain records, and create fliers and newsletters.
+ Daily Operations: Maintain and organize files and records, handle membership registrations and deposit transactions, and prepare correspondences and reports.
+ Facility Maintenance: Clean restrooms, locker rooms, and perform general maintenance within the facility.
+ Support Functions: Update and maintain databases, research data, and perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Licensing
+ Education & Experience: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School diploma or GED and one year of related experience in high-level clerical or technical duties.
+ Preferred Experience: One year of experience in the Parks and Recreation industry.
+ Skills: Proficiency in using RecTrac and Canva, ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, and strong problem-solving skills.
+ Licensing: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. First Aid and CPR Training are required within six months of hire.
Supplemental Information
+ Customer Service Excellence: Able to handle high-volume transactions (over 30 per hour) while providing exceptional customer service.
+ Effective Communication: Establish and maintain positive communication and working relationships with the public, co-workers, and diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
+ Technical Skills: Operate general office equipment, be knowledgeable in computer software programs (Canva, MS Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook), and resolve customer inquiries with sound judgment.
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and perform basic janitorial duties. Must be willing to work a schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 6:45 a.m. and ending as late as 9 p.m.
