Position: Recreation Director

Mineral Springs in North Conway, NH is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Recreation Director to join our team! Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging recreational activities and programs tailored to residents' interests and needs
• Work closely with the team to develop new, exciting programming that enhances the quality of life for our community
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants
• Foster strong relationships with residents and encourage socialization and participation
• Oversee event planning, budgeting, and community outings
• Collaborate with other staff to align activities with residents' overall care plans

Requirements:

• Previous experience in recreation, event planning, or community activities (experience in senior living or similar settings is a plus)
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed or registered by the state in which practicing
  • Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990
  • OR 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with at least one full-time year in a therapeutic activities program
  • OR qualified as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
  • OR has completed a state-approved training course
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High energy, creativity, and a passion for making every day special
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
