Position: Cardio Drumming Instructor (Hobbs Ice Arena)
Hours/Week: 1-2 hours/week
Days Required: Wednesdays
Wage: $15.00/hour

Description: We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and natural teacher dedicated to helping others. Must be available on Wednesday Mornings from 9:45am – 11:15am. The program is set to begin on Wednesday, September 11th. Lead the beat, follow the rhythm, and let the music guide you through each movement. Previous experience is required.
(FILLED) Position: Concession Cashier (Carson Park, Soccer Park, or Hobbs Ice Arena)
Hours/Week: 10-20 hours/week
Days Required: August -May, primarily evenings and weekends.
Wage: $15.00/hour

Description: Responsible individuals with cash handling experience and ability to work with people. Previous restaurant and fast food experience desirable. Concession equipment training will be provided. Must be able to operate a Point of Sale (POS) System and provide great customer service.
Position: Flag Football Activity Leader
Hours/Week: 4-6 hours/week
Days Required: Tuesday Evenings (August-October)
Wage: $15.00/hour
Position: Head Swim Instructor
Hours/Week: 5-15 hours/week
Days Required: Sunday-Saturday, Days/Evenings (September-April)
Wage: $17.00/hour

Description: Responsible for assisting the Aquatic Program Planner or Supervisor in coordinating the day-to-day operations at their worksite and assisting with other duties as assigned. The Head Instructor supervises a team of 3 swim instructors and 1 lifeguard. The Head Instructor is responsible for assisting with the development and training of all instructors assigned to their site through mentorship, shadowing and leading activities at orientation and in-services. 2-3 years’ experience teaching swim lessons and certification as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor is required.
Position: Ice Center Facility Assistant (Hobbs Ice Arena)
Hours/Week: up to 30 hours/week
Days Required: August-May, hours vary depending on facility schedule, primarily evenings and weekends.
Wage: $16.50/hour

Description: The ideal candidate is a mature adult with a strong work ethic and the ability to communicate well with patrons, co-workers, and supervisors. Duties include: ice resurfacing, ice maintenance, building maintenance, monitoring/recording of mechanical equipment, supervision of staff and patrons, and event set-up and tear down. Ice maintenance experience is not necessary. Ice maintenance and resurfacing training will be provided. Seasonal based with potential for year-round employment. Skating/hockey experience preferred but not required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be 18 years of age.
Position: Ice Center Facility Attendant (Hobbs Ice Arena)
Hours/Week: up to 30 hours/week
Days Required: August-May, flexible scheduling primarily evenings and weekends.
Wage: $15.00/hour

Description: The ideal candidates are responsible adults with a strong work ethic and experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Duties include supervision at open skating sessions, various setup and teardown tasks for varsity hockey games, and custodial duties within the facility. Seasonal based with potential for year-round employment. Skating/hockey experience is preferred but not required.
Position: Lifeguard
Hours/Week: 2-10 hours/week
Days Required: Weekday Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays (September-April)

The primary responsibility as a lifeguard is to prevent drownings and other injuries from occurring. Lifeguards must be able to ensure the safety of patrons during all Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Aquatic Programs. A lifeguard must be able to enforce pool policies and be able to communicate effectively why policies are in place. A lifeguard must actively guard and always scan the pool areas. A lifeguard must recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and following the American Red Cross Lifeguard Standards. Completion and accuracy of forms require including accident, incident and safety check forms. Lifeguard applicants are required to have the current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification by start date.
Position: Outdoor Skating Rink Attendant
Hours/Week: 10-15 hours/week
Days Required: Sunday-Saturday (late December-early March)
Wage: $15.00/hour

Description: Responsible individual in charge of supervising safe skating activities at various outdoor rink locations. Duties include: opening shelter, taking attendance, minor first aid duties, and closing the shelter.
Position: Swim Instructor
Hours/Week: 2-10 hours/week
Days Required: Weekday Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays (September-April)
Wage: $16.50/hour (WSI), $15.50/hour (non-WSI)

Description: Plan exciting interactive lessons that introduce and reinforce level and age-appropriate skills. Follow Red Cross Guidelines for skill progression, safety and class organization. Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Authorization is preferred.
Position: Adult Softball Umpire
Hours/Week: 5-6 hours/week
Days Required: August – October, games are weekday evenings
Wage: Slowpitch & Fastpitch Bases $30-$36/hour
Fastpitch Home Plate $44-$50/hour
Description: This position could be involved in slowpitch or fastpitch games (fastpitch is summer only). This position is responsible for enforcing the rules of the game, preparing for the games ahead of the start time, making decisions when conflicts arise, ensuring the safety of participants, and submitting the official scorecard. Must provide own uniform and equipment.
Position: Adult Soccer Referee
Hours/Week: 3-5 hours/week
Days Required: August – October, games are weekday evenings
Wage: $44-$50/hour
Description: This position is responsible for preparing for the games ahead of the start time, managing the games, ensuring the safety of participants, and submitting the official scorecard. Must provide own uniform and equipment.
