**Description** PeaceHealth is seeking a Recreation Therapist - Psychiatry for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.22 - $45.32. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary Provides recreational services to patients and families. Responsible for assisting in the planning, supervision, implementation, and evaluation of the Therapeutic Recreation program which includes activities of a physical, functional, social and cultural nature. Works as part of the healthcare team to assist patients to maximize their potential. Details of the position + Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care needs as it relates to therapeutic recreation. + Documents patient care in health record according to standards. + Participates in process improvement activities. + Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development. + Responsible for recreation therapy program development. + Performs other duties as assigned. What you bring + Bachelor's Degree Required: Therapeutic Recreation. with an emphasis in therapeutic recreation and + Master's Degree Preferred. + Required: Training and experience commensurate with certification requirements + Required Upon Hire: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and + Required Upon Hire: Drivers License and + Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support Department / Location Specific Notes For Behavioral Health positions: Experience with psychiatric patients in a hospital setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with mentally, emotionally, or socially impaired individuals. Knowledge of community's leisure and support opportunities helpful. For Rehab positions: Experience with neurological patients in a hospital setting or experience working with a disabled population is preferred. Must have completed successful field work experience. Knowledge of community's leisure and support opportunities helpful.
