About the Job
The Recruiter (Contract) is a member of the ABS Global Talent Acquisition (TA) team. Our TA team is a Center of Excellence (COE) and supports the hiring efforts of three wholly owned ABS organizations. These organizations operate in 54 countries and have over 6,000 employees. The position also provides the Recruiter with the tools, resources, and support needed to be successful in a collaborative and respectful environment.
Duration and Location:
This role is expected to start as soon as possible and end in the middle of February, 2025. The expected compensation of this non-exempt role is $35 per hour but negotiable based on experience. The role is based in Spring, Texas at our global headquarters. The schedule is hybrid with Monday and Friday serving as optional remote days. The potential for this to be fully remote will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The professional will report to a senior level member of managment and has no direct reports The professional should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment where team members constructively and respectfully interact frequently with one another. It is common for the Recruiter to represent the TA team in meetings with all levels of management and provide briefs to HR leadership when needed.
Working Conditions:
The work environment will be in an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing on a keyboard. In addition, the team member may occasionally lift items that weigh up to 10 pounds. Sometimes, the team member may be asked to travel by way of common transportation to recruiting or other work-related events. There may be some overnight travel with advanced notice.

What You Will Do:
- Support hiring needs within the United States and occasionally Canada.
- Leverage experience to primarily recruit candidates in Human Resources, Business Development, and Engineering.
- Responsible for assigned openings from the requisition creation stage to the offer creation and acceptance stage. All functions are performed within the ATS.
- Conduct Intake sessions and partner closely with members of the Hiring Team.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and current employees.
- Work professionally with other HR team members, including Recruiters, Coordinators, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and various levels of HR management.
- Report weekly on assigned openings, via standardized reporting and live sessions, with members of the management team and Human Resources.
- Operate as a talent acquisition partner to assigned departments and take the initiative to learn the business and how talent acquisition impacts the operation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- At least three (3) years of relevant recruiting experience is preferred.
- Solid experience using common tools to sources passive candidates (LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, Dice, etc.).
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ORC, Taleo, SuccessFactors, etc.).
- Experience carrying up to 20 requisitions simultaneously in a corporate environment is preferred.
- Experience sourcing passive candidate to fill more difficult roles.
- Ability to work with team members in a respectful and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment where respect for others is the expectation.
- Skilled at engaging with all levels of management to include executive leadership in a professional manner.
- Ability to provide feedback and direction tactfully and diplomatically to Hiring Managers when needed.
- Strong knowledge of employment law as it is related to recruiting and hiring.
- Exposure to recruiting metrics including Time to Fill, Time to Hire, and Time Open.
- The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
- This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.
