ReEntry Counselor - Full Time

As our ReEntry Counselor, you will work to support the social, emotional and professional well-being of justice involved adult and adolescent participants by providing the necessary counseling. This can be helping participants through cognitive behavior challenges and/or liaising with other agencies and organizations outside of the program. The Counselor facilitates periodic group counseling including Mentor Circles.
Schedule
Full-time days, 40hrs/wk.
Flexible - can accommodate 5 8-hour days or 4 10-hour days!
Pay
$22.59 - $25.00 starting, based on credentials.

You will be eligible for medical benefits the first of the month following your first 30 days. We have options for a standard plan, as well as an HSA with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. We also provide company paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and paid credentialing. SouthLight is also an approved employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.
Job Responsibilities of a ReEntry Counselor
- Complete intakes for services - provide assessment of mental health and substance use for adolescent and adult justice involved participants. Refer for treatment when assessment indicates.
- Provide orientation that outlines the services consumers will be receiving
- Work closely with community partners to provide a seamless network of support services to individuals
- Provide individual therapy, group, and/or case management services and support services to help individuals navigate the challenges of reentry
- Identify elements of client crisis, respond to each client needs to ensure their safety, integrate crisis experience into the treatment process for each client assigned
- Contacts all clients assigned who do not show for appointments- documents in EHR (communication log/service note)
Qualifications of a ReEntry Counselor
Education and Experience
- Minimum Master's degree in a Human Services field
- Meets the requirements specified for a QP status
Licensure/Certification
- Currently licensed to practice clinically (LCAS/A, LMFT/A, LCMHC/A, LCSW/A)
- Currently licensed in Substance Use treatment preferred
OR
- Will become fully licensed (provisionally licensed at date of hire) within 2 years of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to develop rapport with consumers and other professionals
- Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to facilitate both consumer groups and professional trainings
