Refrigeration HVAC Retrofit Team Lead - SEG at City Facilities Management

JOB PURPOSEThe Retrofit RHVAC Team Leader will lead and work alongside a crew of 3 to 4 retrofit RHVAC retrofit technicians to complete daily project requirements and accurately record the work completed to submit to the Project Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIESLead and work as part of a team to perform refrigerant retrofits, as scheduled
Lead crew with an emphasis on quality production while ensuring our high safety standards.
Coordinates, participates and oversees all aspects of retrofit activities assigned to crew.
Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores.
Meet with customers and effectively communicate with site management to ensure they are kept informed of all ongoing retrofit activities.
Communicate as needed with retail store personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity.
Maintains records, testing documentation and other information related to the work performed.
Provide job-related updates on a regular and timely basis.
Complies with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Accounts for material used and crew hours.
Assures tools and equipment assigned to crew are properly maintained and in working order.
Complies with established safety and operating rules, procedures, and guidelines
Responsible for reporting unsafe practices to project manager.
Proactively check refrigerant leaks and repairs.
Prepare systems for retrofit and perform refrigeration/HVAC retrofit projects in a timely manner.
Maintain clean and safe working conditions in machine and electrical rooms.
Assist with the recovery of existing refrigerant.
Work a flex schedule, including the overnight shift.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Travel 85%, schedule may consist of 4 ten-hour overnight shifts
Subject to change.
Safely drive a company truck and equipment to and from project sites daily.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must.
Act in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMinimum Qualifications5+ years of refrigeration experience in a grocery store setting.
In-depth knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
Above average troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions quickly.
Excellent work ethic and high standard of integrity.
Possesses a valid driver's license with a good driving record for the last 5 years
(Serious offenses include DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, chemical test refusal, driving on suspended license, fleeing police, leaving scene of an accident, passing a stopped school bus and speeding greater than 20 miles over limit)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC systems, or equivalent work experience.
E.P.A
certified for refrigerant handling Class II, III or universal.
Proficiency in English language.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing, DMV review and background check.
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated basic computer skills and Refrigeration Controller Technology.
Self-motivated and successful experience in previous employment.
