Summary
Our Client designs and builds Projects and Careers with their Customer, the US Department of Defense. Their DoD LOGCAP Contract Teams are unique. The Projects those Teams execute are unique. This position supports the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa and the DoD Major Command, US AFRICOM. The position operates in Baledogle, Somalia, Africa. Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervises and coordinates Refrigeration operations and personnel within assigned AOR (Area of Responsibility).
• Leads work teams that maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install refrigeration equipment and components; performs the duties of subordinate personnel as required.
• Responsible for general maintenance and repair of refrigeration units, refrigerated containers, and/or ice refrigeration units.
• Supports HVAC operations and personnel as required.
• Executes assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules and cost control estimates.
• Plans and coordinates supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints.
• Ensures proper utilization of electronic work order system, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements.
• Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate.
• Establishes and maintains a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel adhere to company safety requirements at all times.
• Ensures that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
• EPA 608 Type I and Type II certification required
• EPA Universal is preferred
• Valid license is preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five to eight years' HVAC and Refrigeration related experience
• Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions
