Job Purpose
The Region Fleet Operations Manager will support Region fleet operations to improve asset performance by optimizing fleet utilization and profitability and assisting with remarketing efforts. The Region Fleet Operations Manager will work with the Region Vice President, District Managers, Branch Managers, Purchasing Department and Fleet Planning Department to develop and execute a fleet strategy to meet the region's key objectives.

Job Purpose
The Region Fleet Operations Manager will support Region fleet operations to improve asset performance by optimizing fleet utilization and profitability and assisting with remarketing efforts. The Region Fleet Operations Manager will work with the Region Vice President, District Managers, Branch Managers, Purchasing Department and Fleet Planning Department to develop and execute a fleet strategy to meet the region's key objectives.
What you will do...
- Cradle-to-grave Fleet Management responsibility for Region
- Responsible for overall fleet performance and make recommendations/decisions based on improving key fleet metrics ($ Ute, ROI, Time Ute)
- Management of underperforming assets (UPA Report)
- Conduct branch fleet review visits for performance improvement
- Responsible for Region's fleet plan forecast, balancing adds and disposals
- Responsible for accuracy of fleet statuses for the following: Assigned for Auction, Restricted for Sale, Assigned for MFS (max of 45 days in these statuses)
- Management of local re-rents and rental split assets (monthly review of exceptions to take action on)
- Management of rolling stock new inventory on hand
- Oversight of Service Fleet (delivery vehicles) for proper optimization
- Provide specification expertise for key equipment categories and suppliers
- Timely review of all fleet requisitions for completion and ensure need for new fleet (per RVP guidance)
- Optimize remarketing channel mix - retail, wholesale, export, MFS, auction
- Establish prioritization for targeted fleet to sell (retail, 'hot deals', wholesale, auction)
- Approval authority for used equipment sales
- Support all remarketing efforts (ie. used equipment sales price setting)
Requirements
- 7-10+ years experience in equipment rental operations
- Strong fleet knowledge
- Sales and business acumen
Skills
- Leadership

- Analytical and proficient in Excel
