Region Sale s Manager - This is virtual (remote) position and has the flexibility to be located in the territory of: TX, OK, NM, LA, MS, AR, or West TN.
The Region Sales Manager (RSM) - South role within Land O'Lakes Foodservice is a field-based position that is responsible for driving sales execution and target achievement within the South Region (TX, OK, NM, LA, MS, AR, West TN). The RSM must build productive relationships with Distributors/Operators and maximize trade funds to help drive results. The RSM is also responsible for providing direction/executional priorities/training to our broker partners within the region to build the commercial street business as well as provide support for other Foodservice segments as needed (Chain, K12 & Non-Comm). Finally, the RSM will need to utilize our Trade (Blacksmith) & CRM platforms (Salesforce) to support the business planning process and execution.
Field Execution
• Execute Annual Business Plan priorities with distributors directly and via broker engagement
• Continually monitor results of distributors and make ongoing adjustments as needed
• Leverage LOL Sales incentives and operator targeting initiatives to drive business results
• Leverage data and analytics with customer to enable growth opportunities
• Collaborate with corporate account managers to facilitate Tier 1 Distributor opportunities
• Direct, train, influence, and drive accountability in broker partners
• Collaborate with other RSM's to share best practices and ensure alignment on messaging/execution
- Support Foodservice Segment resources for K-12, Non-Comm, and Chain business related to distribution and programs.
Planning
• Develop sales execution plan by collaborating with Marketing, Corporate Accounts, and broker personnel
• Plan trade spending across the region and identify growth opportunities
• Plan and execute broker training, business reviews, promotion engagements and execution priorities
• Provide market-based insights to enable more efficient and effective planning/execution
• Collaborate with Segment Sales Managers to broaden product portfolio as needed
• Ensure quarterly activation for broker targeting initiatives
Reporting and Administration
• Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to capture pertinent customer feedback and updates
• Ensure all trade programs are setup properly - Assist where necessary on billbacks and deductions
• HR activities (talent talks, required training, etc.)
• Expense reporting through Concur
Trade Management
• Work closely with Trade Manager to maximize ROI
• Seek out and execute new opportunities to drive profitable volume
• Provide insights and perspectives to Sales Director/Trade Manager/Customer Marketing
Required Experience and Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 or more years of Foodservice Sales experience
• Strong CRM reporting proficiency
• Strong MS Office
Preferred Experience
• Proficiency with Salesforce
• Proficiency with PowerBI
• Foodservice distribution responsibility
• Broker management
Salary is negotiable based on experience: $117,920 - $176,888
