The Regional Assistant/Associate Director will support the Admissions Office with all phases of the enrollment process.
Salary: $58,500 Annually

Over the course of the twentieth century, Alfred University evolved into a complex institution offering a full range of programs in the liberal arts and sciences, art and design, engineering, business, education, counseling, and school psychology to its nearly 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students that live, learn, and play on a 232-acre campus located in an idyllic, creative valley in Western New York. Today, Alfred University focuses on a professional education with an emphasis on APEX (applied and experiential learning program).
Salary: $58,500 Annually
Essential Functions:
- Self- starter with the ability to work independently and remotely with the ability to travel to campus as needed
- Ability to Work Weekends1extended Weekdays; and/or overnight travel; as required
- Strong commitment to working with college students from diverse backgrounds
- Detail-oriented focus with the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with little supervision
- Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, particularly in matters relative to sensitive or confidential student records, personnel or organizational matters
- Experience using Slate, and/or other higher educational systems or software effectively
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paved, student-centered environment
- Candidates should have strong organizational skills and be able to understand and use technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Social Media and Email)
- A valid automobile driver's license is required with the ability to travel independently
- Candidates should have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable/confident speaking in large/small groups and with people from diverse backgrounds
- Candidates must be goal oriented, able to work independently with limited supervision, able to work in a team setting
- This regional position will be located and operate off campus within a primary out of state market of New Jersey and Manhattan and be responsible for supporting efforts meeting established recruitment goals for those areas
- Assist students and families with all aspects of the enrollment process to the University (e.g., college selection process, application review, and financial aid). Communicate with prospective students via telephone, email, text and written correspondence is expected.
- Recruitment travel with an emphasis on targeted locations within the New Jersey and Manhattan areas
- Responsibilities include attending college fairs, visiting high schools and coordinating off-campus recruitment events
- Conduct interviews and group information sessions (on-and-off campus)
- Attend and assist with recruitment events (e.g., open houses)
- Participate in training workshops, staff retreats, and professional conferences
- Review and analyze data from CRM SLATE software to meet recruitment goals
- Safety: Participate in safety training and comply with safety rules, regulations, and protocols
- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned
- Maintains a safe working environment within and around their facilities and associated equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, obtaining Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information pertaining to any hazards associated with their work environment
- Participates in all required assigned trainings
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills
- A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and a high degree of cultural competence and respect for a wide range of identities and experience
- Contributes to the overall success of the University by performing other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience in a collegiate admissions office or two years of admissions experience and other appropriate professional educational experience
