Overview:
Under minimal supervision, this position provides quality, clinical supervision and work direction to subordinates, providing discipline-specific treatment for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Facilitates behavior programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), conducts behavior assessments and functions as an Assessor when needed. Provides parent education, develops and delivers specific intervention activities, and functions as a liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, health care providers, etc.
Starting salary ranges from $115,000 - $125,000
Responsibilities:- Provides general supervision to and manages, evaluates and monitors performance and productivity of Clinical Supervisor(s), Program Managers, and Behavioral Interventionists. Ensures responsibility, authority, and accountability are clearly defined and communicated to direct reports. Oversees and maintains clinical quality, and assists with organizational and clinical audits within assigned region. Ensures evaluations, case-management review, quality assurance reviews, and audits are assigned and complete. Updates and manages case assignments. May supervise Associate Regional Clinical Director.
- Leads and attends staff meetings. Assesses staff development and specialized training needs, and prepares, assigns and/or provides development of instructional material as appropriate.
- Works with Regional Vice President, and the Human Resources department in the recruitment/selection of new program associates.
- Documents evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports and exit summaries, and maintains assigned region program documents and reports; including completion of clinical assessments
- Meets productivity requirements set forth in annual budget. Provides efficient and effective service in all areas of performance. Develops and monitors individualized goals and plans as identified in the Individualized Treatment Plan in conjunction with other program associates as needed
- Functions as liaison between the organization, families, and other community agencies including regional centers, school programs, therapists, and health care providers assisting with questions and concerns as they arise. Travels as required.
- Supervises associates required to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and ensures hours are accumulated, as needed
- Attends conferences and trainings to remain current regarding new research, current trends and developments in autism, special education and related fields
- Master's Degree with emphasis in Early Childhood Education/Development, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or related field, from an accredited college or university. Must have and maintain certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Typically requires eight (8+) years of related supervisory experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a multidisciplinary team setting Demonstrated knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Demonstrated expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies, including Pivotal Response Training, Natural Environment Teaching, Picture Exchange Communication System, Behavior Skills Training, and experimental functional analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of early intervention field, community resources and agencies that serve children
- Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with demonstrated leadership, clinical and administrative skills; ability to exercise good judgement, communicate orally and in writing.
