Regional Construction Superintendent - Central Confinement Service

Summary:
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite operations. This person will effectively oversee the entire project from start to finish. They will be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of the site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operation and timely execution of construction projects
- Ensure compliance and quality regulations are being followed
- Communicate project progress with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to follow up on outstanding client selections in order to keep the project moving forward
- Responsible for overseeing all site activities including management of laborers and subcontractors and the construction site organization
- Using Builder Trend software to ensure daily logs are completed and pictures posted, during daily phases of each project
- Using Builder Trend software to assist Project Managers with material orders, bid requests, sending out plans, following up with trades, coordinating job site deliveries, and working with the Construction Coordinator
- Responsible for conducting job site visits to ensure schedule is being maintained and quality control checklists are completed to meet CCS standards
- Inspect sites to eliminate potential safety hazards and enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries including initiating all safety near miss, accident, safety violation reports, and be part of all onsite resolutions, investigations, or new safe work procedures
- Responsible to compile and enforce the execution of punch lists, per trade
- Attend scheduled meetings, either "in office" or via "Media" such as All Staff meetings, Preconstruction meetings, and Post Construction meetings
- Responsible for providing "As Built" prints during and at the conclusion of each project
- Perform or comply and resolve all safety audits-as well as possess the knowledge and discretion to stop any and all work due to unsafe working conditions, safety hazards, inclement weather, or lack or proper construction means and methods
- Inventory and track the delivery, install, and storage of all onsite construction materials
- Maintain and inspect all subcontractor, rental, or owned equipment, tools, for safety features, proper condition, and or deficiencies, and remove from service if necessary.
- Adhere to project completion timeline as outlined with regular reporting in Builder Trend
- All other duties assigned
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
At least 1 year of construction and supervising experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Leadership and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment
Ability to:
- Work independently with little direction
- Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to establish good working relationship with many individuals including clients, PMs, subcontractors, and crew
- Must understand construction drawings, plans, specifications and be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Travel frequently (75%)
- Obtain a valid CDL
- Be CPR certified
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a job site in all types of weather
- Must be able to encounter hot and cold temperatures when outside on jobsites
- Must be able to encounter dusty, muddy, slippery, and wet conditions depending on the time of the year
- Exposure to characteristic construction site danger
Strength Level: 25-40 pounds
