About the Job
The Regional Coordinator provides coordination, oversight, and supervision of Visitation Aides. The Regional Coordinator responsibilities include tracking the receipt of SVS Referrals, maintaining the county specific waitlists, facilitating communication with RDSs about referral/waitlist status. The Regional Coordinator coordinates the Visitation Aides weekly schedules, the weekly visit room schedule, VPM schedule, and tracks administration of any required or optional assessment tools. The Regional Coordinator maintains the fleet by conducting regular safety checks, confirming appropriate car seat inventory, and scheduling any necessary maintenance or repairs. The Regional Coordinator facilitates or co-facilitates onboarding and staff training, as specified, alongside Visitation Program Director (Clinical Supervisor) and supports the Visitation Program Director (Clinical Supervisor) in ensuring Medicaid billing is timely and complete.
ABOUT SUPPORTIVE VISTATION SERVICES (SVS): Parent-child visitation services for CP&P- involved families with children in out-of-home placement to maintain and strengthen familial interactions and facilitate permanency. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting that maintains safety along a continuum of supervision based on family need. Core activities include ongoing assessment, visitation, aftercare (post-reunification support), transportation and documentation.
This position is contingent upon the availability of grant funding.
Responsibilities:Operational:
- Make recommendations for services and case direction
- Maintain confidentiality as required by law
- Support the Program Director in ensuring Medicaid billing is timely and complete.
- Maintain Visitation Aide schedules.
- Monitoring and implementation of vehicle tracking system.
- All supervisor-worker contacts strengthen and expand a broad range of intervention skills and include direct instruction, problem solving, modeling and role play
- Accompany workers to sessions and provide performance feedback as necessary
- Attend clinical supervision and clinical meetings regularly, and advises the Program Director of any program issues
Administrative:
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referring Agency, Clinical Supervisors, personnel and community agencies
- Maintain a mutually supportive atmosphere among team members and throughout the agency
- Supervise staff in maintaining case records to YMCA, Medicaid, and good practice standards
- Available by cell phone for as needed staff supervision
- Run weekly group and monthly individual supervision for all Visitation Aides
- Maintain Vehicle Fleet
- Responsible for the accuracy and completion of all statistics, reports and information sent to the State
- Review all program feedback from client and referral source satisfaction surveys
- Recruit, interview, role play, hire, train, and provide ongoing professional development for Visitation staff
- Conduct performance reviews
- Ensure all required maintenance is performed on staff assigned agency vehicles
- Have a thorough knowledge of Monmouth and Ocean County services
- Participate in Annual Campaign
- Complete miscellaneous projects or tasks as assigned by management
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the Electronic Health Record
- Promote the Agency in a positive manner with funding sources, staff, referral sources and community
- The Regional Coordinator must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related Preference will be given to candidates that possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
- If the Regional Coordinator possesses a licensable degree they must possess the appropriate level license for their degree (LSW, LAC) to practice.
- The Program Supervisor must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with families & children.
- Ability to relate to and engage multi-problem families
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license and a safe driving record with vehicle availability
- Must demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, sensitivity and responsiveness
- Must possess strong communication, writing and time management skills
- Must be physically able to lift small children and car seats
- A safe driving record
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
