Description
The Regional Nursing Director will support the RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators in accordance with company policies, standard of nursing practices, and governmental regulations to maintain excellent patient care. The primary focus will be supporting the staff to maintain operations for patient care. The Regional Director of Nursing will be responsible for implementing and evaluating operations into patient care through RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators in addition to ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and processes.

Description
The Regional Nursing Director will support the RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators in accordance with company policies, standard of nursing practices, and governmental regulations to maintain excellent patient care. The primary focus will be supporting the staff to maintain operations for patient care. The Regional Director of Nursing will be responsible for implementing and evaluating operations into patient care through RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators in addition to ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, protocols and processes that improve efficiency within the nursing department.
- Provide clinical support to patients.
- Conduct/manage post infusion patient surveys routinely and with all new nurse placement.
- Review and approve nursing notes and visit time approvals.
- Provide clinical support to nurses, including supply optimization, pump troubleshooting, and policy adherence.
- Participate in the screening process for clinical managers/contractual nursing/staffing coordinators.
- Educate, orient, and perform competency assessments for nurses in respective region along with support from regional nursing managers.
- Nurse complaint resolution.
- Actively auditing to ensure contracted nurses are maintaining standards of care per policies and procedures.
- Perform initial and annual clinical competency assessments for all regional nurses.
- Develop and implement action plans that adhere to clinical services to address deficiencies identified during regional audits.
- Train, monitor, and enforce staff adherence to the use of the nursing documentation platform.
- Maintain nursing staff training and education programs.
- Conduct monthly regional team meetings.
- Advise, contribute, and educate team members on the company corrective action process.
- Build trusting, collaborative relationships with staff, peers, other disciplines and ancillary services.
- Establish goals for the nursing team, monitor their performance, and provide reports.
- Report any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations, or standards of conduct to the appropriate manager or Compliance Officer.
- Direct patient care as needed and travel to patients as needed for supervision.
- Report any infusion issues, side effects, and missed doses to the pharmacist.
- Available for after-hours emergency calls.
- Facilitates patient/nursing supply needs.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in home and/or specialty infusion is required.
- An active and unrestricted nursing license(s), including California
- Experience with CPR+ preferred.
- Experience with AlayaCare preferred.
