Overview
| The Regional Director, Operations provides leadership in directing and overseeing the North Central Manufacturing and Distribution organization. This critical role has P&L responsibility over the regionally assigned accounts and leads the staff in ensuring the rapid business growth and operational effectiveness of the region in a profitable and sustainable way. |
Essential Functions
- Leads and drives the manufacturing and distribution North Central region with a focus on expanding ABM’s business footprint while maintaining maximum client service satisfaction.
- Drive expansion of ABM’s core facilities maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance and services, as well as janitorial, cleaning and other services.
- Ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost are key success measures embraced by the organization.
- Recruit, manage, and lead teams with focus on continuous improvement. Select and develop teams of professionals, as well as people leaders.
- Influence and support functional strategy; determine, evaluate, and modify goals and the allocation of resources to ensure departmental and organizational goals are met.
- Support, motivate, inspire, and promote the team by building a positive and thriving team environment.
- Direct overall department processes for integration of services and systems.
- Participate in facilities planning processes and direct the implementation of strategic direction.
- Direct initiatives to improve quality performance and customer service.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain daily and weekly labor management control.
- Prepare plans for long range improvement projects to maintain infrastructure.
- Maintain accountability for area budgeting and replacement of materials and equipment.
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Implement ABM’s technology to ensure QA/QC and make better business decision from the data.
- Special projects and other duties as needed.

Education:
- Master’s degree (MBA) or equivalent technical master’s degree.
Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to lead a P&L and drive commercial growth while maintaining client service at the highest level for existing clients/customers
- Enterprising leader with a track record of establishing leadership, best practices, processes and culture that drive sustainable business and talent growth.
- Demonstrated track record of upward career progression in high performance environments with drive to continue to lead at even greater levels over time
- Experienced at leading in a matrixed, transformational environment at a large company
