Job Summary
The Regional Director of Operations (Physical Therapy) will play a critical role in overseeing the operational and financial performance of a network of outpatient orthopedic clinics. Reporting to the Area Vice President, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide inspirational leadership and direction to clinic managers and staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee daily operations of assigned clinics, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Manage clinic budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and profitability.
- Patient Care and Service:
- Champion a culture of clinical excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all clinics.
- Monitor patient satisfaction levels and implement initiatives to enhance the patient experience.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Analyze operational workflows and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining.
- Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including HIPAA and state licensing requirements.
- Team Development and Performance Management:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff members, ensuring adequate staffing levels across all clinics.
- Provide ongoing training, development, and mentorship to clinic staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
- Strategic Planning and Business Development:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of regional business strategies and growth initiatives.
- Conduct market analysis, identify opportunities for expansion, and develop strategies to increase market share.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement marketing and outreach programs to promote clinic services.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a multi-site healthcare setting, preferably in outpatient orthopedics.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
Additional Requirements:
- Current state license to practice physical therapy.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and billing practices.
- Ability to travel locally up to 100% of the time.
