About the Job
You will ensure the compliance of the RDC in all matters of hazardous material shipping in relation to Federal and International standards and laws and develop reporting tools, while observing and analyzing warehouse processes for the implementation of improvement projects. You will conduct periodic audits of RDC processes to ensure compliance by all RDC personnel while ensuring a safe working environment at the RDC in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
You will be the RDC Management representative on the local Safety Committee and a key member in developing and supporting employee relations onsite to achieve and maintain high employee morale.
In support of BMW Group's business objectives, this position requires regular, full-time attendance at a BMW office/facility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or business experience equivalence.
- 3 - 5 years logistics/distribution experience.
- Minimum 5 years of direct management/supervision experience.
- OEM distribution experience.
Preferences:
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge in all operational areas within supply chain distribution.
- Experience with distribution center operational process engineering and execution.
- Knowledge of the general warehouse industry, best practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with labor planning and resource management.
- Ability to lead teams, strong people skills, teambuilding, and organizational management.
- Motivational skills- Ability to identify counselling and coaching opportunities to grow the team and improve performance.
- Experience with recruiting and interviewing prospective candidates for operational leadership roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiar with Warehouse Management System functionality - SAP, BMW WM preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Comfortable presenting to group settings.
- Ability to obtain all Dangerous Goods Certifications.
- Experience working with US Market specific Employment Regulations & overall regulatory compliance.
- Language: Fluent English. Ability to speak or understand Spanish or German is a plus, however not required.

The pay range for this role is: $105,213.00 - $123,780.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
