Regional Rental Manager
New Opening!
Salary $75k Plus Bonus
No Weekends! (7am-5pm)
Essential Functions:
Financial:
- Responsible for Rental Department profitability, including decisions on rates and discounting policy.
- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting, regularly reviews inventory levels, missed opportunity reports, fleet utilization, and Rental Department related expenses.
- Responsible for planning and implementing rental inventory additions and deletions.
- Responsible to develop and execute a plan for rental growth.
- Must have strong grasp of industry rental benchmarks such as Financial Utilization, Physical Utilization, Department Gross Profit, etc.
Administrative:
- Meets daily with Rental Department key employees to prioritize customer service issues.
- Responsible for assessing the need for and hiring new Rental Department staff and performing periodic employee reviews to assist branch managers as needed.
- Schedules and coordinates all internal development and training for Rental Department staff (based on individual needs assessment).
- Responsible for maintaining good “housekeeping” conditions for the department.
- Responsible for setting and communicating policy and procedure around invoicing, billing items such as transportation charges, cleaning charges, fuel charges, damage waiver, etc.
Marketing/customer relations:
- Responsible for market segment penetration, adding new customers, and maintaining existing customer base.
- Periodically reviews the competition, suggesting adjustments to prices and offerings.
- Communicates with the dealership Sales Team in regarding sales leads.
- Communicates with Corp. Rental Manager on rental inventory to be sold, new rental customers, etc.
- Responsible for establishing lead response process and expectations.
Employee relations:
- Understands and considers the overall employee/customer impact when making important, broad-based decisions.
- Involved with the credit department on past due accounts when needed.
- Available to support branch rental departments during unexpected short-staff situations.
Technical:
- A thorough understanding of the construction phases involved in civil and commercial projects is an essential skill.
- Mechanical aptitude is very important to “problem solving” in managing this business.
- Every effort should be made to have proficient skills in operating the equipment in the rental fleet along with practical application knowledge.
- Familiarity with standard industry tools is strongly preferred, e.g. Dodge Reports, Rouse Analytics, Check-in inspection software, etc
- Prior Dealer rental experience is preferred, some level of construction industry rental experience and management experience is required.

Associate degree or higher

This job operates in a retail/dealership environment.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
