Overview: The Regional Sales Director, Surgical, will support and contribute to the strategic plan for core products and interface with the cross-functional team to align the plan with execution.
Responsibilities:
* Hire, train, and continually develop the Surgical Salesforce with the Company's corporate goals and objectives in mind
* Plan and implement product introduction to the assigned market
* Manage the Company's relationships with key physicians, distributors, clinical investigators, and potential customers
* Leverage relationships, networks, and expertise to achieve business objectives
* Build current and future competitive advantage by understanding and addressing key customers' needs and by demonstrating a deep understanding of competitors' strategies
* Help to develop and implement Sales strategy and manage those programs designed to meet corporate goals and objectives
* Co-develop both short-term and longer-term plans to anticipate market trends and stakeholders' needs
* Create space and strategies for the sales team to provide both incremental and exponential innovation
* Negotiate and execute distributorship agreements within the assigned territory if necessary
* Assist in the development of advertising literature, and promotional and training material, develop internal and external customer relationships that successfully drive business objectives
* Complete regular sales forecasting. Drive all aspects of financial and business metrics, including not only revenue but also resource targets
* Collaborate with the Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and other functions to develop product enhancements and improvements by communicating physician input in addition to personal input from clinical case observation
* Manage consultants/agencies for key projects
* Maintain superior knowledge of competitive technologies in addition to medical, technical, and biomedical developments related to Sight Sciences' products
* Ensure timely guidance to senior management regarding the strategy and key brands
* Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures that comply with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485, and any other applicable domestic or international requirements
* Maintain a professional and credible image with key physicians, distributors, consultants, vendors, and co-workers
* Actively work to promote the Sight Sciences culture focused on team building and morale within the marketing department
Skills/Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years related experience in the medical device industry
* At least 2-4 years of leading sales representatives within the medical device industry
* Previous sales or sales management experience is preferred
* Demonstrated ability to influence and manage a complex set of internal and external stakeholders
* Strong executive presence and leadership skills
* Capable of attracting and developing world-class commercial talent
* Strong communication and negotiating skills required
* Ability to exercise sound decision-making and good judgment consistent with a senior-level position
