General Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for the leadership and management of sales and engineering operations for the Coastal region. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing a team of Sales Managers, Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
. Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve regional sales goals and objectives.
. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
. Set sales targets and create action plans to meet or exceed these goals.
2. Team Management:
. Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives and support staff.
. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
. Foster a high-performance sales culture and motivate the team to achieve their individual and collective targets.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
. Address customer concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
. Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Sales Execution:
. Oversee the implementation of sales initiatives and monitor progress against targets.
. Conduct sales presentations and negotiate contracts with major clients.
. Manage key accounts and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
5. Reporting and Analysis:
. Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and KPIs.
. Prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management.
. Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
6. Collaboration and Coordination:
. Work closely with the marketing team to align promotional activities with sales strategies.
. Coordinate with the product management team to ensure the alignment of product offerings with market needs.
. Collaborate with other regional managers to share best practices and drive overall company success.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline preferred
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Sales Manager, Technical Sales Team Leader, or similar role in electrical automation, electrical product sales, or wholesale electrical distribution with a track record of achieving sales targets
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, understanding of sales budgeting process.
• Ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Reports to: General Manager
Direct Reports: Sales Manager, Engineering Manager, Account Managers
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Overnight travel required, 40-50 nights per year
