JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager is to increase overall truck sales by providing leadership toward achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values
This individual leads the development of clearly defined business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for assigned Truck Salespersons
The responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting the vision and plans of the Director of Sales, managing an existing sales staff, helping with sales negotiations, making sure salespeople maintain proper pricing benchmarks, and working to achieve AOR goals within the region.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
An associate degree or 4-year college degree in business or related field is preferred.
Eight or more years of sales or Management experience preferably within the heavy-duty truck industry.
Must have a thorough knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, truck spec’ing, marketing, and operations gained through three or more years of industry-related experience preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, multi-tasking, negotiating, and analytical skills are required.
Must be able to influence outcomes to achieve results, strong financial acumen, and proven results in exceeding sales targets and related goals.
The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to see their salespeople succeed in both their professional and personal lives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible
A moderate amount of travel within your region to support the sales team may be required
