About the Job
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the sales performance for four branches, all while ensuring quality customer service standards. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Regional Vice President, and will assist with forecasting departmental budgets, participating in strategic planning, and determining sales projections. Must have experience leading a team, excellent communication skills, and be willing to travel outside of the perimeter. Building or Landscape supply industry experience strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and forecast annual business plan for the region with collaborative partners based on historical data, business needs, manpower requirements, etc.
- Oversee the sales performance of four branches across the northern Atlanta area and solve internal issues as needed
- Use geographical expertise to analyze market potential to include competitive pricing, market trends, and product availability
- Work with Branch Managers to resolve time-sensitive sales concerns
- Build work relationships with staff to maintain employee engagement and a high level of customer service and support in a positive team-oriented branch environment that matches the company’s mission and values
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement efforts across multiple locations in order to enhance the customer experience
- Utilize current product knowledge and industry/market awareness to successfully represent the organization’s products and services
- Promote positive customer and vendor relationships to ensure satisfaction and gain useful feedback
- Adhere to high ethical and professional standards set forth by the company
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma/GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of upper management experience
- Experience in building or landscape supply logistics, manufacturing, or distribution strongly preferred
- Must be willing to travel 20-30% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to think independently and critically, analyze and solve problems, and successfully implement solutions
- Effective time management and prioritization skills; must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to change course quickly as needed
- Experience with Microsoft applications
