Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products that help keep people safe. Originally focused on the underground coal mining industry, Matrix has expanded into new industrial markets in the United States and globally.
We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales activities within your designated region (Northeast, Mid-West, South, or West). Initially, you will work independently, focusing on establishing a strong market presence and customer base. You will leverage your technical solutions expertise in a B2B setting to build lasting partnerships and ensure the success of both the company and its customers. This position is fully remote and the candidate must be located within their region.
This position reports to the Vice President of Industrial Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to your region.
- Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with key customers.
- Promote our products and values including at industry events.
- Develop and utilize CRM tools like Salesforce or Oracle for tracking sales activities and managing customer interactions, manage customer interactions, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Educate customers, customize solutions to their needs, and guide them confidently through the sales process.
- Enjoy the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and support, ensuring the success of the entire sales team and the company.
Qualifications & Competencies
- BA is Business, Communication, Engineering, or Data Science.
- 10 years of proven success in selling technical solutions in B2B setting.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting partnerships.
- Develop and adjust strategies based on market conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with CRM systems including Salesforce or Oracle.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Understand and use teach, tailor and take control principles.
- High Level of professionalism and presentation skills.
- Enjoy both the hunt for new business and the execution of sales.
- Dedication to following up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- Prioritizes customer needs and works to exceed their expectations.
- Quickly adjusts strategies and approaches based on evolving market and customer dynamics.
- Skilled at influencing customer decisions and building strong relationships.

- Travel is required for this position, with an expectation of traveling 3 to 4 days per week.
Working Conditions
- This is a remote position. Working conditions will be a home office.
