Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Watercraft Regional Sales Manager to join our Marine team in a field role. The position works with senior management to formulate a strategic sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets to promote and sell Yamaha products and services. Position is accountable for the overall business direction and personnel development of an assigned region within a Yamaha division. This position communicates Yamaha Corporate Policies and Procedures to direct reports.

What you'll be doing:
- Manage region from a short- and long-term (multiple year) perspective by providing guidance to District Managers and Regional Support Coordinators to achieve goals, review status of order and shipments to dealers, and review credit holds and dealer credit line
- Pursue prospective leads while building valuable relationships with dealers, strategic boat partners, and senior management to and obtain additional monthly, quarterly and yearly business in region by visiting new and existing customers. Expected to be highly influential and impactful in driving overall regional revenue.
- Accurately forecast WaveRunner and Boat product needs for Dealer Accounts based off of data collected from and provided by Regional Sales Coordinator, District Managers, Yamaha Dealers, market trends, and quantifiable data from past year's sales
- Assist in maintaining dealer records and administering all agreements, specific dealer agreements or considerations, etc.
- Assist in the development, management and successful implementation of any and all sales, co-op and promotional programs, dealer and employee training programs etc. specific to region
- Communicate Yamaha product features and benefits that are consistent with our advertising objectives and schedules for various media events, boat and WaveRunner product reviews, focus groups, and other special product evaluations projects
- Develop and manage the career opportunities of the regional District Managers and Regional Support Coordinators by providing division and corporate goals / objectives, as well as, reviewing job descriptions and expectations; assist in the screening of applicants, interviewing of candidates for District Managers and Regional Support Coordinators.
- Assist with the development, strategy and execution of National Dealer Meeting; participate in the planning and execution of all Watercraft sales and dealer meetings; and participate in selected industry and trade meetings, events, committees and task forces as assigned by senior management.
- Achieve corporate and territory goals and objectives while working within set budget parameters; assist each District Manager and Regional Support Coordinators in achieving set goals and targets while remaining within budgetary guidelines; report budget discrepancies to the National Sales Manager for corrections and supporting data on as needed basis.
- Develop and build relationships with the following strategic partners: Yamaha Boat Company and other approved boat company partners; communicate and assist with special projects as assigned by senior management.
What you need to be successful:
- BA / BS degree or equivalent certification is required.
- At least 5 plus years of previous experience in a sales management role or similar job preferred.
- Must be able to travel to various accounts, industry events, and dealer functions
- Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word and Outlook) and sales software
