Regional Training Program Director- RN

This position provides nurse aide training to facilities in an assigned region for ASC managed properties. Experience required providing CNA & QMA training classes required as will travel throughout the South Central region of Indiana.

What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

• Responsible for conducting nurse aide and QMA classes/training at all approved locations.
•  Monitors and works with students to ensure resident care procedures are followed according to policies.
• Works with clinical leaders at each facility to ensure students are following procedures/protocols per state
  regulation.
• Provides ongoing training and education to new and existing instructors throughout the company.
• Visits clinical sites checking in with students and preceptors.
• Assists with updates to training curriculums as approved by ISDH.
• Ensures student files are maintained and current.
• Maintains up to date files on approved classroom and clinical locations.
• Communicates with facility leaders upcoming schedules for regional classes.
• Complies with the property’s privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all
  state and federal privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state and
  federal privacy laws as outlined by HIPAA.
• Complies with and adheres to the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the
  Bloodborne Pathogens Standards. Protective Personal Equipment (PPE), including personal protective
  equipment for eyes, face, extremities, protective clothing, and protective shield and barriers, will be provided,
  used, and maintained.
• Demonstrates teamwork and prompt and regular attendance to work to ensure that quality care and services are
  provided to the patients we serve.
• Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.

Requirements:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Indiana RN license.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience in Geriatric and Gerontology coupled with a minimum of one-year
  experience as a Director of Nursing of Long-Term Care Facility.
• Prior Clinical Education teaching/training experience required.
•  Prior Clinical Consulting experience preferred.
