The American Autism & Rehabilitation Center (AARC) iscurrently seeking to add Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to our team. Weare looking to add 2 RBTs to our team ASAP.
This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinaryteam which includes Teachers, Behavioral Analysist, Speech LanguagePathologists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists. The primary function of the Registered Behavior Technicians(RBTs) are to provide implementation of Individualized Behavior Plans under thedirect supervision of a BCBA, BCBA-D, BCaBA, or Licensed Professional. The RBTprovides the following services: implementation of teaching skills,interventions for behavior reduction, data collection of all deceleration andacceleration programs, and training the caregiver/guardian. Applied BehaviorAnalysis (ABA) principles are used by the RBT to teach individuals diagnosedwith Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral andsocial/communication challenges.
The RBTs will consult and work collaboratively with theinterdisciplinary team of speech therapists, occupational therapists, physicaltherapists, teachers, and other instructional team members regardingpro-active, educational, programming, and behavioral supports; related toimplementing comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborate with team members,related services providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
· Follow company Policies and Procedures
· Ability to implement and follow directions from behavioranalysts
· Ability to communicate with staff members and supervisorson implementation and progress of plan
· Ability to demonstrate professionalism in working withteam members, family members, caregivers, & guardians
· Review the Individualized Behavior Plan for each clientthey are assigned, and other relevant information developed and provided by thebehavior analyst to facilitate consistent implementation and monitor outcomesappropriately.
· Teach and implement skills set forth in the individual’sIndividualized Behavior Plan
· Collect data daily on all assigned clients
· Assisting in restructuring environments and activities tosupport the clients’ behaviors
· The implementation of behavioral procedures foracquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
· Complete daily progress notes and any other documentationrequested by the behavior analyst or funding sources
· Communicate and provide training and support to thecaregivers on implementing ABA principles and strategies in the plan
· Under the guidance of the behavior analyst, providesupport as needed to include creating teaching skills, graphing, developingreports, skill probes, functional skill assessments, curricular assessments
· Respond to slack messages and emails daily (businessdays/hours)
· Ensure timely completion of documentation using theelectronic platform provided
· Ensure all missing/required documentation is provided tothe Clinical Coordinator, Billing Specialist and/or Behavior Analyst
· Assist in community-building activities and participationin local events, including AARC events
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
· Communicate openly with Director of Behavior Analysis, ClinicalDirector, and leadership team
Scheduled Hours: RBTs are scheduled based oncaseload and needs Monday- Thursday; typically 8am-6pm.
Location: RBTs are required to work in allsettings at AARC, as well as attend events in the community and otherestablishments set by the behavior analyst for the purpose of development.
Training Requirements and Supervision: RBTs aretrained on the responsibilities listed above and supervised by the BehaviorAnalyst and Clinical Director.
Qualifications: RBTs are required to have thefollowing qualifications:
1. RBT Certification preferred
2. Minimum High School Diploma, BA/BS degree preferred
3. Driver’s License and valid transportation
4. CPR/BLS and AED Certification
5. Strong verbal and written communication
6. Time management, organizational skills, andproblem-solving capabilities
7. Team player that works collaboratively andcompassionately with others
8. Proven ability to work effectively with people from avariety of backgrounds. Prefer at least two years of experience withindividuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disability
9. Ability to learn computer systems and input data
10. Proof of annual or required updated training shall bemaintained on file for review

Physical Requirements: Working with clients mayrequire you to lift or move approximately 50 lbs. and be able to assume andmaintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing,sitting) for extended periods of time.
