We are adding a Registered Dietician to our Mississippi teams!

Here at Legacy Hospice, we hire highly talented and uniquely qualified dieticians to provide exceptional care to their patients. Our clinical leaders think strategically on how we can best collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide essential and quality care during the final stages of patients’ lives. It is the expectation of Legacy Hospice that our employees communicate with compassion and empathy with their patients, families, and to the communities we serve.

Qualifications:

1. Prefer Master's degree from an accredited institution with major in foods, nutrition, or dietetics, and successful completion of an internship or equivalent experience.
2. Requires successful completion of courses in methods and principles of teaching.
3. Requires membership and registration in the American Dietetic Association.
4. Is licensed by appropriate state(s), if applicable.
5. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
6. Possesses and maintains current CPR Certification.
7. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
8. Understanding of hospice philosophy and issues of food/fluids for terminally ill individuals.

Once you join the Legacy family, you will proceed with our training program along with support and resources from our leadership team.

Within the first month, you will:

• Get to know your team and become acclimated to the hospice philosophy.
• Complete online training with your team.
• Shadow your team members to learn more about hands on hospice care.
• Your team member will then collaborate with you while you visit patients to allow opportunity to ask questions while you work.

We allow a flexible onboarding schedule to allow you to move at a pace that you are comfortable with. At any time during training, you have any questions, always feel free to ask your Branch Administrator or team members.
