Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to be part of our Clinical Team in Clinical Team in Polk, Rutherford and Henderson Counties.

The Registered Dietitian is a member of the interdisciplinary health team and provides medical nutrition services and nutrition counseling in a primary care practice setting. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate nutritional status of individuals and provide nutrition counseling and consulting to individuals, as well as collaborating with health professionals within the organization.
- Study and analyze current scientific nutritional studies to assist in developing standards, guides for use in Blue Ridge Community Health Services.
- Plan, evaluate and conduct nutrition education programs and develop educational materials for various audiences and at all BRCHS sites.
- Responsible for supporting organizational mission and goal achievement, organization quality goals, and providing safe, patient-center care.
- • Primarily support clinics in Columbus, Spindale and Lake Lure with variable travel to Hendersonville.
- Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition required or equivalent Bachelor’s in a related field from an accredited school.
- Certification/Licensure Specific Requirements:
RD: Currently a Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
LDN: Current certification as a Licensed Nutritionist and licensed to practice in state of North Carolina. - One to two years of supervised training and experience working as a Registered Dietitian.
- Experience in working in ambulatory care setting
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
