Registered Nurse- Behavioral Health, Residential Treatment - Tandym

A Residential Treatment Facility is looking for Registered Nurse to join their team in Auburn NY!

About the Opportunity:

• Age Range: 4-21 yo
• Shifts: Day or Evening or Overnight
• Hours: 7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7:30am (can accommodate 10's or 12's)
• Setting: Residential Treatment Services
• Location: Auburn NY

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations of clients experiencing illness, injury, or health-related psychological issues. Communicate significant findings to the designated healthcare provider and, when applicable, the legal guardian. Implement the recommended care plan.
• Document all relevant information precisely and efficiently while following medical orders for treatment.
• Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with best practices, state regulations, and agency protocols, ensuring close monitoring for potential side effects.
• Supervise and oversee the care delivered by LPNs and other health office staff members.
• Perform assessments and provide care following a physical restraint incident, adhering to all relevant regulatory standards.
• Deliver first aid during emergencies and manage patient care until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive or the individual is transported to an ER.
• Collaborate with the medical team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, clinicians, and others, to ensure seamless and high-quality care.
• Ensure that both the mental and physical healthcare needs of each child or youth are addressed promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• NYS license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid unrestricted New York State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.
• Minimum Experience: Open to New Grads
