CRC Certification required
3+ years of experience as a Clinical Research Nurse
Experience with assessing patients
Must be able and willing to draw blood from patients
Experienced working with sponsors
Strong experience educated clinical research participants and going over informed consent
Experienced with regulatory documents
Strong computer skills
Strong communication skills-written and verbal
Experience with clinical research paperwork
Registered Nurse with Virginia license
Possess sound judgment, good communication and business acumen skills
Be able to maintain good communication with supervisors, co-workers and study team
DUTIES:
The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Screens patients for protocol eligibility.
Review trials with patients and enroll
Review informed consent process with patients.
Handle all Patient Blood draws
Coordinate patient care
Dispense investigational drugs and provide education to the patients regarding administration. Maintain investigational drug accountability.
Oversee patients for changes in condition, adverse events, compliance and response to study drug,
Document all findings
Responsible for accurate and timely data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting. Schedules and participates in monitoring and auditing activities.
Maintains regulatory documents in accordance with USOR SOP and applicable regulations.
Participates in required training and education programs. Responsible for education of clinic staff regarding clinical research.
Identifies quality and performance improvement opportunities and collaborates with staff in the development of action plans to improve quality.
Report and compile protocol activity and data
