Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) at MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center at Rockaway. We are seeking a FT candidate who will be available for weekday shifts and variable hours between 7am-7pm. Earn top pay and be a part of our award winning hospital system! Responsible for working alongside the surgeon in the operating room to provide direct patient care. Play a hands-on role in surgical procedures by controlling bleeding, suturing incisions and wounds and intervening if complications arise. Also monitor patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiration and pulse.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Supports Physicians in various operative procedures including but not limited to heavy orthopedic service, general, plastic/cosmetic, GYN, hand, foot and ankle, laparoscopic procedures etc.
2. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
3. Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
4. Demonstrates and embraces the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of the job.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to preforming as a Circulating RN, Surgical Scrub nurse, Charge RN, Service Coordinator, as needed.
